2. Do I need a referral to make an appointment?

Most medical specialists will accept only referred patients. This is to try to ensure that the specialist you are seeing is appropriate for you and your condition.

3. How can my family doctor help me to obtain specialist medical care?

Before seeing any medical specialist it is always preferable to talk to your family doctor who can discuss your condition with you and advise on whether specialist care is appropriate. Your family doctor can help you to choose the specialist best suited to your needs. Communication between your family doctor and your specialist optimizes your healthcare ranging from the initial provision of relevant medical information to your pre- and post-treatment care.

4. What should I expect during first visit?

During your first consultation with Dr. Won, you will be asked about the history of your current problem as well as general gynaecological, medical and surgical history. Dr. Won may perform a physical examination. Further tests may be ordered.

Dr. Won realises that her patients' time is valuable and aims to run her consulting sessions to time. From time to time however unexpected delays can occur. This is one of the reasons as much information as possible is obtained at your initial telephone call for an appointment. This helps our staff to allocate the appropriate time to your consultation.

5. What is your cancellation policy?

SMS reminders will be sent for all scheduled appointment 7 days prior. If you do not have a mobile phone or elect not to receive an SMS, our practice staff will telephone you on the number/s you have provided.
